چکیده
Inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO)/paradoxical vocal fold motion (PVFM) is a reversible narrowing of the larynx that results from dysfunction. Distinguishing ILO asthma can be challenging, as they coexist, and standard tests may not able to differentiate between two. However, flexible laryngoscopy promptly diagnose ILO. Unfortunately, often overlooked potential cause when evaluating patients with sudden-onset breathing difficulties respiratory distress. We present case young female who sought frequent treatment at emergency room (ER) symptoms shortness breath (SOB), rapid heart rate, breathing, anxiety. Despite receiving for acute attacks, her persisted. During most recent hospital admission, revealed abnormal movements, indicating paradoxical dysfunction (PVFD) muscle tension dysphonia (MTD). A comprehensive approach involving speech therapy, pulmonology, psychiatry led significant clinical improvement. This report highlights importance raising awareness among healthcare providers about potentially mimicking bronchial exacerbation.
